Across the country, foundational rights—citizenship, property access, and community safety—are becoming increasingly fragile. Through expanding emergency powers, border restrictions, and shifting interpretations of law, millions of people are finding themselves at risk of exclusion from the very protections they once relied on.
We are entering an era where legal recognition may be tied to status, land, or affiliation, not simply to being born within national borders. We are witnessing efforts to reinterpret long-standing legal frameworks, raising urgent questions about who is entitled to safety, stability, and autonomy.
History tells us this: when systems collapse, survival often depends on land, local networks, and shared defense. We are not waiting to be left behind.
Throughout history—from Reconstruction to post-conflict recovery—resilient communities have survived by building three pillars of defense:
When political and civil rights falter, property-based rights often remain enforceable. By co-owning land through a cooperative legal structure, we build a lasting shield that protects members from displacement and instability.
We are installing wells, septic systems, and power infrastructure to reduce dependency on vulnerable public systems. Our village is designed to remain operational in emergencies and accessible to those with mobility or health needs.
Through shared governance and co-stewardship, we build a safety net that extends beyond paperwork. We stand together—economically, legally, and physically.
In this model, land becomes stability, community becomes protection, and infrastructure becomes freedom.
We are establishing a sustainable, rights-based rural community where land access and legal protection are built into every structure—providing a blueprint for what survival and dignity can look like.
Each member will build or place their own tiny home (up to 900 sq ft) and receive legally recorded use rights under Colorado cooperative law. The land is collectively owned, but individual use is protected through enforceable agreements.
These sites are for flexible use—travelers, emergency placements, or seasonal residents. Some sites will offer rental income to support infrastructure and reinvestment in the community.
A commercial-grade well, shared septic system, and cooperatively managed electrical grid will serve the entire community. Residents cover individual utility usage, while infrastructure is collectively maintained.
The land is held by SkyStone Village LLC, governed under a cooperative model under one co-owned LLC that grants each member contractual land-use ownership rights. These rights are protected under state law and designed to be enforceable even if traditional forms of legal identity are weakened.
When rights are no longer guaranteed by birthplace, we anchor them in land.
When public systems fail, we rely on our own.
When isolation threatens, we build community as our shield.
Freedom Village is not a dream. It’s a blueprint.
Freedom Village is built on the belief that safety should be affordable, land should be protected, and ownership should be shared. Our cooperative model offers legal protection, resilient infrastructure, and long-term stability through recorded land-use rights.
