Affordable land stewardship, community infrastructure, and nonprofit partnerships designed to create places where people belong and not just places to live.
SkyStone Vale LLC is a Colorado land stewardship and community development company.
Our purpose is to acquire, develop, and steward land that supports affordable housing, transitional living, community agriculture, and resilient neighborhoods.
Rather than viewing land as a commodity, we believe it can be used to strengthen communities, expand opportunity, and create lasting social impact.
Every property we develop is designed to support people rebuilding their lives while remaining financially sustainable for generations to come.
SkyStone Vale develops and stewards the land.
Unity Harbour builds the community.
Together we're creating neighborhoods centered around the Active Bystander Model, a simple but powerful idea that communities thrive when neighbors know one another and respond before small struggles become major crises.
Housing alone isn't enough.
People need connection.
They need belonging.
They need communities designed to help people succeed.
Instead of just campgrounds or housing developments, we're building community ecosystems.
These include:
Every project is designed to become more resilient over time.
Most communities wait until someone reaches crisis.
We believe communities should notice sooner.
Every resident becomes part of a small support network that naturally checks in, notices changes, and helps connect neighbors with resources before problems escalate.
It's a model built around prevention instead of reaction.
Because stronger relationships create stronger communities.
Across America, millions of people face housing instability, isolation, and the loss of community.
We're working to change that.
By combining thoughtful land stewardship with nonprofit partnerships and community-centered design, we're creating places where people can rebuild stability while helping others do the same.

Land has always been one of our most valuable shared resources. Yet for many people, ownership has become increasingly out of reach.
Our Land-Share Membership offers a different approach.
Rather than concentrating ownership in the hands of a few, we're creating opportunities for hundreds of people to collectively steward land that serves the public good.
Your membership helps:
More than a contribution, your membership is an investment in a future where communities work together to create stability, opportunity, and belonging.
Together, we're proving that even small contributions can help build something that lasts for generations.
SkyStone Vale LLC remains jointly owned by Angela Archer and Carmen Broesder, with each holding a 50% ownership interest in the company.
Effective July, 2026, Angela Archer has stepped back from all operational, management, and day-to-day responsibilities related to SkyStone Vale. All current operations, project management, communications, community development, and organizational activities are being managed by Carmen Broesder on behalf of SkyStone Vale LLC.
Angela Archer's 50% ownership interest is currently being offered for sale through the cooperative buyout process, subject to the terms of the Operating Agreement and applicable law. Until such a transaction is completed, the existing ownership structure remains unchanged.
This operational transition does not affect SkyStone Vale's ongoing projects, partnerships, contractual obligations, or commitment to developing resilient, community-focused housing and land stewardship initiatives. Development of Freedom Village and our partnership with Unity Harbour continue to move forward as planned.
We appreciate the continued support of our community, partners, and members during this transition.
At SkyStone Vale LLC, we believe land can be stewarded in ways that are both sustainable and community-focused. Our Cooperative LLC structure allows us to responsibly manage shared property while preserving the flexibility needed to develop affordable housing, community infrastructure, and long-term stewardship projects.
Unlike traditional property ownership models, our structure enables members to participate in a shared vision while ensuring the land remains aligned with our mission for future generations.
Members participate in a cooperative ownership structure designed to preserve land for community benefit rather than short-term speculation.
Membership interests are documented through our Operating Agreement and internal records, providing a clear framework for participation, governance, and permitted use.
Managing property through a single entity allows SkyStone Vale to develop community infrastructure—including RV sites, tiny homes, gardens, and shared facilities—in accordance with applicable county approvals and regulations.
Keeping the property under cooperative stewardship helps prevent unnecessary fragmentation while supporting consistent management, maintenance, and future community development.
Membership records are maintained privately by the LLC and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and organizational policies.
